Two-Day Box Making Course
Starts This Thursday, Jan 8th — 25% reduction on remaining places!
A Chance to Slow Down and Make Something Beautiful.
This Thursday we’re running our 2-day box making course, a focused, hands-on introduction to fine box making using solid wood. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to spend a couple of days in the workshop, learning traditional skills and making something truly useful, this course is a great place to start.
Over two full days you’ll make a solid timber box with mitred and splined corners and a smooth-fitting sliding lid. Along the way, you’ll learn how to work accurately from drawings, cut clean mitres, use router jigs for splines, and bring everything together with careful assembly and finishing. It’s a satisfying project that teaches techniques you can take into future work.
The course is taught in a small group, allowing plenty of one-to-one guidance, and all tools and materials are provided, so you can simply turn up and focus on making. Whether you’re relatively new to woodworking or looking to refine your skills, it’s an enjoyable and rewarding couple of days at the bench.
As the course is coming up this week, we’re offering a 25% reduction on remaining places — a nice opportunity if you’re able to join us at short notice.
If you’ve been meaning to spend more time in the workshop, this could be the perfect moment.
